The Victoria Buddhist Dharma Centre's resident teacher, Lama Jhampa Tenzin, is currently giving teachings Thursday evenings at 7:00 with translator Lama Jhampa Shaneman. The initial teachings, which began on March 11, are based on Nagarjuna's Letter to a Friend. The series will then continue with teaching based on The 37 Practices of a Bodhisattva and with further topics until mid May 2010.These teachings are relevant for laypeople wishing to be happier, calmer, and more in control in their daily lives. They do not teach specific meditation techniques and are open to all regardless of previous experience.
A donation of $12 per session is requested from those able to do so to cover costs.
Out of consideration for the neighbors, please do not park on the street next to their homes. The best place other than the Centre's parking spaces is across Maplewood on the park side of Camrose.
